Robokaddy Remote Golf Trolley

Robokaddy remote Golf TrolleyThe Robokaddy trolley certainly pushes the Stewart designed trolleys close for performance and the look is pleasing on the eye as well. As soon as you remove the folded trolley from your boot you are ready to go in a few seconds. A simple design makes it easy to erect limiting the possibility of any trapped fingers. The first thing that strikes you is the quality of the finish. In either Black or Silver the lightweight AMST alloy frame looks excellent. Weight comes in at just under 12Kg without the battery. Add the battery and you are looking at a weight of under 24Kg which competes well with other trolleys out there. The remote control is easy to use and has all the standard functions on there that you would expect of a trolley in the higher price range. Communication between the remote handset and the trolley is continuously checked via diagnostic LED’s meaning any problems can be seen straight away. The anti-tip wheel can be attached to the rear of the trolley to give extra stability on tough terrains and just like the remote antenna is removable for when you want to store the trolley away in the car or at home.

If you are looking for optional extras then you won’t be disappointed by Powakaddy’s offerings. You can even purchase a seat! This fits onto the trolley and there are options for upgrading to Air inflated wheels from the standard quick release sports wheels. One other option you may be interested in, are the patented winter wheels which allow you to use the trolley on wet courses during the winter months although always check with your course before using these. Course managers and Greenkeepers have had a major input into the design of the wheels which promote minimum contact with the course, therefore protecting the fairways better. There are 2 motors that independently drive each rear wheel with the battery sitting neatly between the two. The 30 AmpH Battery easily achieves 18 holes even on the most difficult of courses; the trolley also has a free wheel function just in case you do run out of juice. The battery has a one year warranty whereas the trolley comes with 2 years as standard. The key to extended battery life is to ensure you fully charge the battery before you go out on the golf course.

Our View: An excellent quality trolley that has a quiet and smooth operation. It’s probably going to set you back over £700.00 new but as a long term investment in your game, you won’t be disappointed and it’s certainly worth considering.
